Snoop Dogg releases another NFT series on SuperRare
Snoop Dogg, one of the most iconic hip-hop stars, has released an NFT series. The series dubbed “Decentral Eyes Portrait Series” will depict Snoop Dogg in 10 different versions. The NFT was noted on SuperRare, a popular NFT marketplace.
Snoop Dogg collaborated with Coldie, a popular artist in the blockchain and NFT sector, to make this initiative possible. This is not the first NFT release for Snoop Dogg.
Snoop Dogg launches NFT
Coldie confirmed the news of this NFT release on Twitter, where he stated that Snoop Dogg was doubling down on his NFT investments. The duo has worked together for this NFT release.
Decentral Eyes Portrait Series will come with a 3D collage collection of 10 different images of celebrity. The images will show different stages of the life of the artist. Moreover, the NFTs will also come with recorded audio by the rapper, which will act as a signature to authenticate the artwork.
As aforementioned, this token was minted on SuperRare, where it will be available for sale until December 3. Currently, the highest bid on the NFT series stands at 169 ETH, equivalent to over $750,000.
The artist also spoke of his partnership with Coldie on this NFT series stating that he was the right person to partner with for this initiative. He also stated that NFTs had allowed him to change his artwork view, stating that he wants his NFT releases to represent his vision on the metaverse.
“You don’t just see it, you feel it, and you hear it. You dig. I want this piece to stand out as a representation of my vision in the metaverse. It’s Decentralized, Decentral eyes.”
Snoop Dogg and NFTs
The ventured into NFTs in April this year. At the time, he partnered with Nyan Cat to launch an NFT dubbed “Nyan Dogg.” The NFT was listed on the OpenSea marketplace, where it was sold for $14.2 Ether tokens valued at more than $30,000 at the time.
The NFT was released on April 20, and it was released together with other pieces of art dubbed “Hazy Nyan Cat” and “Nyan Blunt”, which were sold for 0.420 ETH.
